The Lake Victoria Region Local Authorities Cooperation (LVRLAC) Is a growing network organization of 130 Local governments in the region of lake Vitoria from its humble beginning LVRLAC has been mobilizing local authorities, communities and other stakeholders to adopt sustainable resources use of approaches on the shared water body of Lake Victoria.
LVRLAC functions by its chapters in three East African Countries, Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda. Whereby in Tanzania it has members local government totaled 42 from Mwanza, Geita, Kagera, Mara, Simiyu and Shinyanga since 2000.
LVRLAC is anchored on the significant position held by its member local Government as the grassroots institutions closest to the community and numerous partnerships and networks existing at the local level.
