Based on the wide perspective of Lake Victoria Initiative on Environmental conservation and Climate Change mitigation and Adaptation. It was mandatory to think of ways to enhance community knowledge about Environment conservation through visual and practical ways. Through LVRLAC – SIDA partnership, LVRLAC was able to build three Environmental Pedagogic Centers (EPCs) in Mwanza, Musoma and Bukoba.

The aim of these EPC was to establish centers for communities to learn , be informed and Exposed to Environmental knowledge and practices for Lake Victoria Region environmental management and development.

LVRLAC has used its strategic position as a network of Local Authorities to reach out to a wide grassroots community  seeking in their commitment to environmental responsibilities as grass root actors to sustainable development.
